Our tours operate rain or shine, as tropical rain showers in Thailand usually don’t last long. If it rains heavily, we try to seek shelter and will continue as soon as the weather improves. During the rainy season, it’s a good idea to bring a raincoat or poncho. Please note cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.

Off beat experience – highly recommend
As a family of 4 we booked a dedicated group tour & turned out to be a great idea because one of us had a foot injury & we have dietary restrictions. Nicky was our host & turned out to be a great host. We had a van pick us up at the hotel at 730am and reached the Maeklong station at 845am, with the train leaving through the market at 9am. The Bangkok traffic wasn’t much of a bother on the way out.
Nicky advised us to enjoy the experience first & then turn to shopping – which was a good idea. We got some great pictures, had a fantastic experience at the Train market. Easily the most dangerous market in the world with the train being inches away from shops & the tourists! After that we did some shopping at the market, which was much cheaper than the Floating market – exactly as Nicky advised.
The drive to floating market was about 15 mins and we directly ended up on a boat within minutes of reaching. The market is quite an experience & unlike anything else we’ve seen. We enjoyed the local coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice & other cuisines while on the cruise. The shopping here is more expensive but does make for a fantastic experience.
We wrapped up with a fabulous lunch at the floating market & then proceeded to a local temple that is reminiscent of Angkor Wat albet at a much smaller scale.
By that time we were exhausted since it was almost 1pm and we’d been at this for 5 hours already. The van dropped us back while we slept peacefully in the back.
Overall a great off-beat experience, something that is not done by most folks.

wonderful expereince
We had a wonderful time during our tour today. It was very interesting to learn about the history of the two markets and the temple. It was especially a great experience thanks to our tour guide, Surin. She was very enthusiastic and did a really good job in showing us the different aspects of Thai culture and looked after us very well. We would definitely book a trip like this again, especially with the same tour guide!
