Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Railway Market
Bangkok
Take in the local sights and sounds at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Experienced long-tail boats , appreciate the winding waterways and get a brief glimpse of those who live on the river. Then see vendors scramble as the train rushes by the Maeklong Railway Market.
Maeklong Railway Market, which roughly means ‘umbrella pulldown market’, it is famous for the vendors’ mad scramble to pack up when a train goes by. We’ll explore and hopefully see the train pass before making our way to our next stop the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. One of the more famous floating markets in the city, it is made up of a network of narrow canals dotted with vendors paddling their boats filled with their wares.
Visit Wat Bang Kung – Temple hidden within the roots of a banyan tree.
This temple is probably the most iconic in Amphawa District, known for its roots and branches of banyan tree which over the centuries have surrounded and locked the building, it houses a golden Buddha.

Half day tour in BKK
I signed up for the tour and had Nikki as our tour guide. She’s simply fantastic and speaks good English. We went to the railway market first, slotted in a short tour to a coconut sugar plantation before heading to the floating market. Afterwards, Nikki brought us to a small Buddhist temple and also a nearby animal farm. We had alot of fun feeding the animals there! Everything went well and she’s extremely flexible with the itinerary. There’s also plenty of snacks alot the way and we are extremely glad to have Nikki as our guide! 😊

AMAZING!!!$$!$
PERFECT! they pick you up; it’s affordable compared to other horrid tourist traps and PERSONAL. I would HIGHLY recommend. Our tour guide was welcoming, kind, told us not to buy things on the canal so we do not get scammed, recommend we shop after! YES!

Fabulous onece in a lifetime experience
FABULOUS!!! This is my second favourite experience in the Bangkok region. Everything about it is well-thought-out. The Train and Floating Market visits were exciting, interesting and FUN. Our guide was fantastic, generous, sweet, KNOWLEDGABLE, thoughtful and I highly recommend. I deducted one star because my scheduled pick-up was over 15 minutes late (that left the others waiting on me and then we got a late start) and his driving skills scared the snot out me (I am a NY-er who is used to crazy driving). He drove on the wrong side of traffic twice to pass a bus at a very slow speed.
