Join our “Tuk-tuk Tour Chiang Mai by Night” and discover the magic of the 'Rose of the North' after sunset, when the city slows down and the temperature becomes pleasantly cool. As the sun sets, Chiang Mai’s ancient temples light up beautifully and the bustling night market comes to life with delicious aromas and vibrant energy.
Your local guide will share fascinating stories about the city and the landmarks you pass along the way.
Our adventure begins at 18:30 hrs in front of Burger King at the Thapae Gate, where the tuk-tuks will be ready and waiting. Let’s hit the road!
We start at Wat Phra Singh, one of Chiang Mai’s most iconic and revered temples. Dating back to the 14th century, this temple is a prime example of traditional Lanna architecture and a symbol of the city’s rich heritage.
Next, we visit Wat Phan Tao, known for its stunning teakwood ordination hall. This peaceful temple, one of the oldest in the city, offers a serene atmosphere and a glimpse into classic Lanna craftsmanship.
We then make a stop at the impressive ruins of Wat Chedi Luang, once the tallest structure in Chiang Mai. Though partially collapsed after a 16th-century earthquake, the chedi remains awe-inspiring. This site once housed the sacred Emerald Buddha, now kept in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew.
Outside the old city walls, we visit Wat Lok Molee, another historic temple with a beautiful brick chedi that holds the ashes of several kings from the Mengrai dynasty, rulers of the Lanna Kingdom.
To wrap up the evening, we head to the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, the city’s most famous market and a true feast for the senses. Browse stalls filled with handicrafts, clothing, and souvenirs, and enjoy a casual meal and local dessert surrounded by the buzz of night-time market life.
After dinner, we say goodbye to the guide. You’re free to return to your hotel by tuk-tuk (not included) or continue exploring the Night Bazaar at your own pace.

Chiang Mai 101
Tik was an excellent tour guide and very informative with answering all of our questions. Good sense of humour. Easy to communicate with. Took us to good food after the tour around temples during the cooler evening, when they were less crowded and beautifully lit up.

Fun evening out
Fun evening with Tuktuks and very knowledgeable guide. This would be great to do on first evening in city. Temple visits were educational and Sunday night market was an overwhelming experience.
