Tuk-tuk tour Bangkok by Night with Chinatown street-food meal
Bangkok

Our evening tour offers a unique way to experience Bangkok, revealing a different side of the ‘Big Mango’ that only comes to life after dark. As the sun sets, the city transforms. The chaos of the day gives way to a more atmospheric and magical version of itself, with temples and palaces beautifully illuminated, night markets bursting into life, and the scent of sizzling street food drifting through the air. Bangkok becomes more relaxed but just as vibrant, the perfect time to explore.
Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll gain genuine insight into Thai culture and daily life.
We begin with a scenic ride on the Chao Phraya Express Boat, offering sweeping views of the riverside skyline as the lights of the city begin to twinkle.
Our first stop is Wat Arun, the striking Temple of Dawn, which looks even more magical under the night sky when its spires are lit up in golden light. It’s the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos.
From there, we cross the river and hop into a typical Thai tuk-tuk, a fast and fun way to weave through Bangkok’s old town. It’s an experience in itself, the sounds, the lights, and the breeze as you zip past historic buildings and temples.
On our route, we pass iconic landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and make short photo stops at the Giant Swing and the Flower Market. Each place carries centuries of history and culture, and your guide will share the stories behind these historic sights.
We end the evening in the heart of Chinatown, one of the world’s largest and most authentic. Unlike many parts of Bangkok, Chinatown has managed to preserve its original character. Here, we’ll stop to enjoy a simple street-food meal and dessert, just like the locals do.
This tour is perfect for travelers who want to see Bangkok in a different light. It combines fun transport, iconic sights, local stories, and street food, all set against the backdrop of Bangkok by night.
Join us and experience how magical and full of life the Thai capital becomes after sunset!

Very good tour guide and schedule
Fantastic tour and very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful tour guide. Highly recommended. Great value too! Everything went to a well organised programme and we felt it was a great introduction to Bangkok on our first day

Great tour – lots of different experiences in one
What a great tour! My wife and I loved this. It was especially nice as an introductory tour on our first day in Bangkok. It has a little bit of everything!
We started with a ferry ride up the river to Wat Arun. Our guide was very attentive in making sure we knew where to go to wait for the ferry, when to get off, etc. She told us things about the temple upon our arrival and we walked the grounds and took pictures. It was lovely.
We ferried to another location and then took a Tui-Tuk ride, which was quite a fun experience. It was especially nice to have it all planned and the drivers waiting for us (and no haggling).
After several stops for pictures we are in Chinatown. Once again, our guide was quite attentive in keeping us together, and she was ‘appropriately aggressive’ in getting us across busy streets safely and getting seats in the place we ate.
I can’t say enough about our tour guide, Wan (hopefully spelled correctly). She was pleasant, informative, and made sure our group got around safely in a busy city.
I highly recommend this tour, especially towards the front of a stay in Bangkok. It helps you get situated on various parts of the city and different types of transportation.

Wouldn’t recommend it
Despite multiple reviews, it felt like the tour was organized for the first time. Despite it was supposed to start at 5.30 pm, the tour actually started at 6.15 pm leaving us to wait on the pier for 45 minutes and leaving the impression, the team didn’t know the ferry schedule.
It’d be nice to have a tour guide with better language skills as it was hard to understand her and the tour guide didn’t understand some questions concerning our route. It’s a pity as my goal was to learn from the tour but that didn’t happen.
