Bangkok by Night: Boat, Tuk-tuk & Chinatown Street-Food Meal
Bangkok

Experience the ‘Big Mango’ in a whole new light and join us for an evening of iconic sights, local flavors, and unforgettable moments!
After sunset, the chaos of the day gives way to a more atmospheric and magical version of itself, with temples and palaces beautifully illuminated, night markets bursting into life, and the scent of sizzling street food drifting through the air. Bangkok becomes more relaxed but just as vibrant, the perfect time to explore.
We begin with a scenic ride on the Chao Phraya Express Boat, offering sweeping views of the riverside skyline as the lights of the city begin to twinkle.
Our first stop is Wat Arun, the striking Temple of Dawn, which looks even more magical under the night sky when its spires are lit up in golden light. Although the temple itself is already closed at this time, we stop nearby so you can take some stunning photos of this iconic landmark.
From there, we cross the river and hop into a typical Thai tuk-tuk, a fast and fun way to weave through Bangkok’s old town. It’s an experience in itself, the sounds, the lights, and the breeze as you zip past historic buildings and temples.
On our route, we pass iconic landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and make short photo stops at the Giant Swing and the Flower Market (Pak Khlong Talat). Each place carries centuries of history and culture, and your guide will share the stories behind these historic sights.
We end the evening in the heart of Chinatown, one of the world’s largest and most authentic. Unlike many parts of Bangkok, Chinatown has managed to preserve its original character. Here, we’ll stop to enjoy a simple street-food meal and dessert, just like the locals do.
This tour is perfect for travelers who want to see Bangkok in a different light. It combines fun transport, iconic sights, local stories, and a street meal, all set against the backdrop of Bangkok by night.

Your guide will wait for you at Saphan Taksin BTS Station, Exit 2, at street level.
This exit is located at the end of the street, close to the river.

Bangkok’s traffic is often notoriously congested, so we kindly ask all guests to arrive on time. We always recommend taking the BTS (skytrain) or MRT (metro) to a station near the meeting point.
As our tours run on a group basis, we can wait a maximum of 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. After this grace period, the guide will begin the tour. If you cannot make it on time, please let us know before the tour starts. If possible, we’ll do our best to reschedule you for the next available time slot or day, though a rescheduling fee will apply.
We understand plans can change. You’re welcome to reschedule your tour date or time up to 24 hours before the start at no extra cost.
If something comes up within 24 hours of the tour, please email us at tours@wandersiam.com and we’ll do our best to help. Please note that a change fee will apply.

Our tours operate rain or shine, as tropical rain showers in Thailand usually don’t last long. If it rains heavily, we try to seek shelter and will continue as soon as the weather improves. During the rainy season, it’s a good idea to bring a raincoat or poncho. Please note cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.

Great
The tour was great and the guide (we had thongsuk) was fantastic. Incredibly enthusiastic, bubbly and knowledgeable about the attractions. Note, there is a fair bit of walking involved (in case you are injure), the Tuks Tuks are only used for part of the tour.

It was fortunate that there was not raining and the tour just goes on smoothly done by the lady guide.
Yes, this tour was on 18th July 2023, started at 5.30pm in the late afternoon time before sunset. The tour guide was a lady who could speak well in English and explain about the temple place well, also help us took photographs picture like other tour guide done the same before. We started by taking ferry boat to visit a few temple surrounding place and area. Then we managed to make it to take the last ferry before 7pm to reach outside Grand Temple visit before we board the Tuk Tuk ride to visit a florist market first then to Chinatown short walking time before settle down for our dinner time and the tour ended after dinner about 9pm that we split on our own ways out.

Great Tour Guide, Very fun!
Surina was a great tour guide! Really had a good chat with her. She helped us to take great photos and helped me to find the bus stop when I was lost, to go back home. I really enjoyed the tour as well, and the Pad Thai was delicious! Highly recommended, will either go on this tour again in future or any other tours under Surina.

Bangkok Highlight!
Our tour guide Thong Suk was most delightful, knowledgeable and inclusive. My sister and I felt taken care of and had such a great time! Especially the mango sticky rice in China town for dessert. Loved hearing her stories at the temples. Thank you for an amazing experience 🙏🏼

Good, worth the price, great way to see parts of Bangkok you might not otherwise go to
We had a nice time on this tour! The ferry ride to the different temples during sunset was really beautiful, out short stops at the temples and flower market for photo opportunities were lovely… but the highlight was our visit to Chinatown, which was bustling with activity and visually stimulating. Our tour was on a Monday, which means there are less food stalls out on the streets than usual. If you’re looking to go on a day that Chinatown feels like you imagined (chaotic, filled with street vendors), choose a different day. However, while less boisterous than in other days, there was still representation for street food, and we wound up eating a soup at a Michelin acknowledged restaurant chosen by our guide, Wan. Wan was sweet and informed. I might suggest guides are given microphones to clip onto their shirts. It is very difficult for everyone in the group to fear and understand what is being said, especially with all the background noise and the guide’s accents.
