Tuk-tuk tour Bangkok by Night with Chinatown street-food meal
Bangkok

Our evening tour offers a unique way to experience Bangkok, revealing a different side of the ‘Big Mango’ that only comes to life after dark. As the sun sets, the city transforms. The chaos of the day gives way to a more atmospheric and magical version of itself, with temples and palaces beautifully illuminated, night markets bursting into life, and the scent of sizzling street food drifting through the air. Bangkok becomes more relaxed but just as vibrant, the perfect time to explore.
Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll gain genuine insight into Thai culture and daily life.
We begin with a scenic ride on the Chao Phraya Express Boat, offering sweeping views of the riverside skyline as the lights of the city begin to twinkle.
Our first stop is Wat Arun, the striking Temple of Dawn, which looks even more magical under the night sky when its spires are lit up in golden light. It’s the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos.
From there, we cross the river and hop into a typical Thai tuk-tuk, a fast and fun way to weave through Bangkok’s old town. It’s an experience in itself, the sounds, the lights, and the breeze as you zip past historic buildings and temples.
On our route, we pass iconic landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and make short photo stops at the Giant Swing and the Flower Market. Each place carries centuries of history and culture, and your guide will share the stories behind these historic sights.
We end the evening in the heart of Chinatown, one of the world’s largest and most authentic. Unlike many parts of Bangkok, Chinatown has managed to preserve its original character. Here, we’ll stop to enjoy a simple street-food meal and dessert, just like the locals do.
This tour is perfect for travelers who want to see Bangkok in a different light. It combines fun transport, iconic sights, local stories, and street food, all set against the backdrop of Bangkok by night.
Join us and experience how magical and full of life the Thai capital becomes after sunset!

Just do it
Loved this tour and so did our teens. Lots to see and do. Our guide Sunday was excellent and really fun and helpful. We loved learning to make traditional lotus flowers and the food was great

Tour aborted by rain
Our Tour guide, Dee, was very courteous and accommodating. We already were able to visit the Temple of Dawn, Grand Palace, Flower Market, city hall Bangkok when it started to rain. We were supposed to eat dinner at chinatown, but the rain only grew stronger. So we had to abort the tour.
Mr. Dee was very dedicated to his job, braving the strong rain to order food for us and hail a taxi. My wife and I were veru grateful!

One of our highlights
We had great fun at the tuk tuk tour with our 3 year old son.
We started with a boat ride to a restaurant. We expected to go with the tuk tuk right away, but learned that would happen later at night.
After dinner (which was included) we went to a tempel by boat again. After that we saw different sites with luxerious tuk tuk’s.
Our guide did a great job.
