What to expect

During this tour you'll visit the Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon, the Hot Springs and the Tiger Cave Temple.

The Emerald Pool, also called ‘Sa Morakot’ is a unique natural pond with a visually limpid blue color and wonderfully warm waters, making it a stunning spot for swimming.

Nearby the Emerald Pool you'll find the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with deep aquamarine-blue water. Don’t be tempted to take a dip in the blue water, because unlike in the Emerald Pool you can’t swim here!

Namtok Ron is located in a shady green forest area with numerous hot springs. The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water. The water comes from volcanic chambers deep underground. Of course you’ll have time to relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek.

Set in a beautiful forest, Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) is one of the highlights in Krabi, for in addition to being a place of worship it is a famous meditation centre, and acts as a retreat for Buddhist monks and nuns.

You need to climb 1260 stairs to the top, so a degree of physical fitness is required. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside with all the limestone cliffs and beautiful lush rain forest. If you think the climb to the top might be too tough for you, you can also visit the temple on ground level.

Emerald Pool, Hot Spring & Tiger Cave Temple review

We were collected for our tour at the alloted time and our guide, Tuk, greeted us politely and took the relevant details for their insurance.
He was very friendly, knowledgeable and kindly took photos for us during the tour at the Emerald Pool and Hot Springs. The tour itself is good value for money, when you take into account paying for the national park fees and meals.
The Emerald Pool are beautiful and we walked up to the Blue Pool first before going for a dip in the Emerald Pool to cool off. It was incredibly refreshing!
We then had lunch at the buffet restaurant which was a bargain at 150 baht each before heading to the Hot Springs for another lovely soak in them.
Tiger Cave Temple is wonderful to behold, Tuk explained the history behind the site before giving us 2 hours to make the very steep climb to the top of the Pagoda and then ventured to see the original cave site. The stairs are steep but with plenty of rest we made it up in 40 minutes, (with neither of us being very athletic it was 40 minutes of intense sweating and wheezing) but it is a stunning view and a wonder to see the pagoda.
All in all this is a good trip and I would recommend it to others.

Brilliant trip and no crowds!

Decided to book the trip a couple days before, turned out it was the 5 of us only which was brilliant. Otto our guide was great fun and was really knowledgeable.

He suggested we leave early to beat the crowds and it payed off, we were the only ones at the emerald pool and at one point we had the natural hot springs to ourselves!

Otto took photos and videos of the trip sent us all copies and put a video together for us, couldn’t fault it!!

Tiger Cave Temple & Emerald Pool Review

This tour was great! Otto was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day! The views at the top of the mountain are incredible and definitely worth the climb.
