Krabi – Emerald Pool & Hot Springs, Tiger Cave Temple Tour
Krabi
+3
During this tour you'll visit the Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon, the Hot Springs and the Tiger Cave Temple.
The Emerald Pool, also called ‘Sa Morakot’ is a unique natural pond with a visually limpid blue color and wonderfully warm waters, making it a stunning spot for swimming.
Nearby the Emerald Pool you'll find the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with deep aquamarine-blue water. Don’t be tempted to take a dip in the blue water, because unlike in the Emerald Pool you can’t swim here!
Namtok Ron is located in a shady green forest area with numerous hot springs. The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water. The water comes from volcanic chambers deep underground. Of course you’ll have time to relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek.
Set in a beautiful forest, Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) is one of the highlights in Krabi, for in addition to being a place of worship it is a famous meditation centre, and acts as a retreat for Buddhist monks and nuns.
You need to climb 1260 stairs to the top, so a degree of physical fitness is required. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside with all the limestone cliffs and beautiful lush rain forest. If you think the climb to the top might be too tough for you, you can also visit the temple on ground level.
Please note the entrance fees are not included and are as follows:
- Emerald Pool The National Park fee : 400 THB per person
-Hot Springs : 200 THB per person

Amazing experience!!
We were just two so we had a private experience visiting the pools and temple. The guide Otto was showing us some fauna and explaining all.

Absolutely incredible!! The beauty of the jungles, wildlife and the land of Thailand is breathtaking. A must do!
One of the best tours we have take!! It was epic to see the natural beauty of Thailand and our guide Otto was super informative and helpful in explaining the history and the environmental changes that he has noticed over the years and how the country is changing their practices to ensure the wildlife and the jungles are being protected.

A good day out but…
Great day out, although visiting the temple to climb the 1200 steps to the top would have been much more sensible in the morning, everyone found it hard. Last year someone died climbing it in the heat.

Wonderful day, lovely guide
Otto was a great guide very kind and made every effort to make sure I was enjoying myself and and learning about everywhere we went.
The places we went were beautiful the forrest walk to the blue, green and crystal pool was calming and the pools were beautiful to see. It was nice to swim in the emerald pool. As this is a popular area the tour started early in these places so it wasn’t too crowded which was good. The hot springs were relaxing and it was nice they were all natural. I swam in a cold pool after the hot spring.
The steps to the tiger temple cave are not easy and there are many and you have to be careful on them as they are steep but the temple itself and the view is worth seeing. The last thing I saw was the tiger temple cave and learnt its history it was a great day.

Great day
We had a wonderful time with Otto.
The emerauld pool in the morning was perfect, no one was there yet, it started to be a bit crowded later when we left. The ascent to the Tiger cave temple was tough but the view worth it.
Thank you Otto for the pictures and videos.
