Your route
Visit the JEATH War Museum to learn about the history of the Death Railway and the experiences of those who worked on its construction during World War II. Explore wartime photographs, original tools, and historical artifacts, including a replica bamboo hut that illustrates the harsh living conditions of prisoners of war. The museum also displays an unexploded Allied bomb intended to destroy the Bridge over the River Kwai.
Visit the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, part of the historic Death Railway built during World War II by Allied prisoners of war and Asian laborers under Japanese supervision. Walk across the historic iron bridge and learn about the railway’s history, the challenging conditions faced by those who built it, and the sacrifices made during its construction.
Visit Erawan National Park, established in 1975 and famous for its seven-tiered waterfall and beautiful emerald-green pools. Named after the three-headed elephant from Hindu mythology, the falls offer a refreshing escape into nature. Enjoy a swim in the natural pools or hike to the upper tiers, weather permitting.
