Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Railway Market
Bangkok

Take in the local sights and sounds at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Experienced long-tail boats , appreciate the winding waterways and get a brief glimpse of those who live on the river. Then see vendors scramble as the train rushes by the Maeklong Railway Market.
Maeklong Railway Market, which roughly means ‘umbrella pulldown market’, it is famous for the vendors’ mad scramble to pack up when a train goes by. We’ll explore and hopefully see the train pass before making our way to our next stop the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. One of the more famous floating markets in the city, it is made up of a network of narrow canals dotted with vendors paddling their boats filled with their wares.
Visit Wat Bang Kung – Temple hidden within the roots of a banyan tree.
This temple is probably the most iconic in Amphawa District, known for its roots and branches of banyan tree which over the centuries have surrounded and locked the building, it houses a golden Buddha.

Floating Market Samuk Sakhon review
The tour was overall quite nice. We reached at the wandersiam cafe/hq as our hotel wasn’t in the list of hotels which were patlrt of pick up option. The cafe was nice and cosy and we waited until the tour guide Paul took us to the van. The first stop was the damnoen saduk train market. It was quite busy but a unique experience to see the train operating among the market stalls. Next up we went to a famous temple followed by the floating market, where we enjoyed a 40 min Boat ride. Overall this tour provides a good peek into everyday life into samut sakhon. Beware this is not a Bangkok tour but the southern state of samut sakhon.
Special mention to our tour guide Paul.
His passion and positive energy kept us all amused and his knowledge of the area was quite good. He was helpful also in halal food selection. Overall great experience

Highly recommended experience!! Very complete and interesting. Our guide, Kitty, was amazing! She explains us patienly the history and culture of the region and gave us some tricks for our stay in Thailand. You will visit not only the two famous markets but also a temple where you will get to know more about their traditions

Fun day tour of river market and train track market
Our tour was very well paced and organized. We were able to see 3 sites in a half day. It was also really nice to be in an air conditioned van given the high heat and humidity in April. Our tour guide was friendly, informative, and gave good suggestions for how we should spend our free time.
